Egyptian potatoes run on two harvests per year, deliberately timed to bridge European supply gaps: spring from Upper Egypt and autumn from the Nile Delta. Spunta is the primary export variety for fresh table use; Diamant and Hermes serve processing programs; Lady Rosetta is the chipping/crisps standard. Caliber 45–75 mm meets EU supermarket spec by default. Pack flexibility runs from 10 kg retail mesh bags to 1,250 kg jumbos for processing. Reefer at 6–8 °C — never below 4 °C.
