2. What data we collect and why

Contact and quote enquiries

When you submit a quote request or contact form we collect the name, company, email address, phone number and message you provide. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry and to follow up on trade discussions. We retain it for up to 3 years or until you ask us to delete it.

WhatsApp and Telegram chat

If you initiate a conversation via our WhatsApp or Telegram buttons, your message is handled by those platforms under their respective privacy policies. We do not control their data processing.

Server logs and analytics

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) processes standard web-server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and reliability. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled it operates without cookies and without collecting personal data. We do not use Google Analytics or any cross-site tracking.

Cookies

This website does not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie (__cf_bm) for bot-protection purposes only; it does not track you across sites. The Cloudflare Turnstile widget (embedded in contact forms) may set a similar short-lived security cookie.

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)

We process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you initiated) and, where applicable, performance of a contract. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. International transfers

NileXportia is based in Egypt. If you contact us from the EU or UK your data is transferred to Egypt, which the European Commission has not granted an adequacy decision for. The transfer is covered by the contractual necessity exemption (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR) for processing your pre-contractual enquiry.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights email us at [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
