Baladi means "local" — and the Egyptian Baladi orange is exactly that: the traditional indigenous variety, deeply rooted in Nile Delta farms. Where Navel and Valencia are world-standard, Baladi is origin-character. Aromatic peel, intense flavour, deep colour, pronounced sweetness. It is the orange that GCC buyers ask for by name and the one that differentiates an Egyptian citrus program from generic Mediterranean supply. Volumes are smaller than Navel; allocation requires early commitment.
